I had the pleasure of photographing Shawn for his website/advertising purposes. Mr. Shawn Johnston (the former Anne-Kathryn Head's husband) will be opening his chiropractic clinic this year in River Ranch. Please pray for God's favor on his endeavor and also that the Lord would be glorified in the life of this sweet young family. Congratulations Shawn and Anne~Kathryn!!!

Before Christmas I was able to spend an afternoon with this amazing family. Grace is an amazing big sister and little Estelle is a fiery one. Sha!! It was great to meet J.B. for the first time and to be with Jill once again. It is a blessing to photograph people who love each other deeply. Thank you for allowing me into your life and home. It was a great pleasure indeed.

Jesus Christ Above All Things

Thanks for your comment re: the contest, Julie... so good to talk to you this morning. I was going to respond in the comment section but thought it better to make a new post.

Quoting from, "Don't Waste Your Life", by John Piper......

"For redeemed sinners, every good thing - indeed every bad thing that God turns for good - was obtained for us by the cross of Christ. Apart from the death of Christ, sinners get nothing but judgment. Apart from the cross of Christ, there is only condemnation. Therefore everything that you enjoy in Christ - as a Christian, as a person who trusts Christ - is owing to the death of Christ. And all your rejoicing in all things should therefore be a rejoicing in the cross where all your blessings were purchased for you at the cost of the death of the Son of God, Jesus Christ."

So... without Christ crucified, I am nothing and am doubly undeserving of life, breath, family, friends and even placing in photo contests, etc.

I had a great time with the Thibodeauxs at Acadian Village. Got some great shots for Christmas. They were such troopers..... it was 80 degrees and they were all in sweaters. Sheesh!!:)
